Grace for Difficult Seasons

Page 1

Difficult seasons and circumstances come in everyone's life. Often they leave us questioning God. Is He really real? Is He really good? In this post, Sarah Markley speaks about power of trusting in the goodness of God, and how an awakening to His marvelous grace can equip and empower women. Sarah is a wife, mother, and writer. In addition to serving with two Southern California non-profits, she writes her own blog and contributes to (in)courage, A Deeper Story, and The Art of Simple.

Sarah admitted to being in a wilderness season, sometimes having a difficult time realizing and trusting in the goodness of God. Describe a time (whether past or present) when you've struggled with seeing God as good. What did God teach you/what is he teaching you through that season?

God is real, He is good, and He is unbelievably gracious. Often when we find ourselves feeling distant, questioning God's goodness, we fail to remember the grace He's shown us. God's unmerited love for us is as firm as bedrock. When you show grace to others, let it be a reminder of the grace God first showed you.
