5 - Family Commitment and Physical Attractiveness

Session 5

In the previous session, we learned about recreational companionship. We might not enjoy the same activities as our spouse, but it's important to find things to do together instead of by ourselves. In session five, Bill and Joyce talk about family commitment as well as physical attractiveness.

Physical attractiveness is a form of affection because it comes down to taking care of yourself and shows your spouse that you care as well.

The most important takeaway from this session is that of thoughtfulness. Whether we're talking about spending time with our family or keeping ourselves attractive for our spouse, these things come down to being intentionally thoughtful. Everyone's marriage and household looks different, so the "rules" will always be unique. Make some time this week to have an intimate conversation about these two aspects with your spouse. Talk through what family time should look like, and talk through whether physical attractiveness is important for the two of you.
