In this next session, Bill and Joyce talk about affection and sexual fulfillment between couples and how an understanding of your spouses needs can help with overall intimacy.

We all have our own emotional and physical needs because we are unique individuals. However, if were talking about the general need among the sexes, women typically need more affection while men tend to need more sex. This balance can become natural when couples invest in what the other needs, putting their spouse above themselves.

If we are going to fulfill the needs of our spouse, then we will have to make an effort to form specific habits that meet their needs. We cannot expect to change overnight and we cannot expect our spouse to feel the exact same way about our specific needs. Yet, when both parties strive to make the other happy in that area, a cycle begins that can only be broken by poor communication.
