Do you ever feel overwhelmed, like you've lost direction or focus? Maybe you're feeling inadequate or burdened. Take a moment to be inspired by this short video.

That’s our mission—to be courageous Christ followers that boldly serve Him and encourage others to be unleashed for the gospel. But just like those who’ve wandered the desert before us, it’s easy to get distracted and lose sight of our mission.

Before moving on to the next page, take a moment to ask God to give you the strength, determination and endurance to continue to boldly serve Him.

As leaders, we are called to emulate Jesus’ style of servant leadership. But let’s be honest, that’s not always easy.

In this 3-minute teaching clip, Francis Chan, best-selling author of Crazy Love, challenges us to see, serve, and love others the way Christ does.

Francis was so honest when he admitted the negative results of his personal pride. He said he felt like he went on mission trips early in his Christian walk so that he’d have something to brag about. I'd love to hear your thoughts or questions about how we can keep our motives pure as we lead? How are you leading others to serve out of love and not personal pride?

The key to servant leadership is genuine love for others. Francis concluded his teaching with a prayer. Take a moment to slowly read these words:

God give me a heart for these people so that I am not so into me and my life and the things I want to accomplish. But that I really surrender because I actually love these people and I really care—I want them to have a better life.

There are lost and hurting people all over the world—in Africa, in America, and in our own community. While God may be calling our church and those we lead to serve overseas, this next story will inspire you to remember that we can serve those we meet in our everyday lives.

In addition to loving the people you lead, you have an opportunity to influence them by modeling servant leadership. Christina not only impacts people in her community with Christ’s love, but she also models servant leadership for her children.

Christina's story shows how really simple it is to share the love of Christ to others. And the people you lead are all potential "Christinas" who have the opportunity to share Christ's love in everyday situations.

Take a moment to consider how you can encourage and challenge those you lead to practice the kind of love-fueled servant leadership we've talked about today.
