Suzy Shepherd is a visionary, innovator, and writer who builds credible and creative ways to reach others with God’s love.
The increasing dissonance between church and culture made her wonder how people can experience God’s goodness. It stirred her desire to create community and conversations that lead to people discovering God’s personal love for them.
Where Love Lives grew from that desire. This series offers churches and small groups a simple way to invite neighbors and friends to talk about life and faith, through the lens of building healthy relationships, a value most people share.
Instead of asking, “Will you come to a Bible study?”, the host can say, “Will you join me for a discussion on building strong connections with others?” People who wouldn’t consider attending church often respond to this personal invite. The series can serve as a weekend retreat, a five-week series, over a couple of days, and be done in-person or with digital groups.
Suzy has taught the Where Love Lives curriculum in college settings, leadership conferences, churches, citywide forums and more. She advises growth strategies for Stonecroft (stonecroft.org) and is founder of SHINE, at shinegathering.com. She and her husband, Carl, make their home in Tyler, Texas, with their blended tribe of nine kids.
